Hey Cynthia Smyth,
We'd recommend trying the steps in this article as they can help resolve issues with content not loading properly in Safari: If Safari on Mac doesn't open a webpage or isn’t working as expected - Apple Support
"1. Reload the page
To reload a page, choose View > Reload Page, or press Command-R. If you can't reload, make sure that you're connected to the internet.
If you still can't reload:
Open Safari again and try to load the page. When Safari opens, if it automatically opens pages that you don't want to open, quit Safari again, then press and hold the Shift key while opening Safari.
Check Safari extensions
If you installed any Safari extensions, make sure that they are up to date.
You can also try turning extensions off. From the menu bar in Safari, choose Safari > Settings (or Preferences). Click Extensions, then deselect the checkbox for each extension to turn it off. Learn more about Safari extensions.
3. Check Safari settings
The webpage might not be compatible with one or more browser settings, which you can turn on or off as needed. From the menu bar in Safari, choose Safari > Settings (or Preferences). Then click Websites, Privacy, or Security to access these settings:
4. Test with a private window
A website can store cookies, caches, and other data on your Mac, and issues with that data can affect your use of the website. To prevent the website from using that data, view it in a private window. From the menu bar in Safari, choose File > New Private Window, or press Shift-Command-N.
If that works, use the following steps to remove the website's data, including its caches and cookies. The website can then create new data as needed. If it's a website that you sign in to, make sure that you know your sign-in information before continuing.
5. Install software updates
Install all available Apple software updates, which can include updates for Safari.
6. Check VPN or other security software
If you installed VPN or other software that monitors or interacts with your network connections, that software could affect your use of the website or the internet. Learn about network issues related to VPN and other software.
7. Check network settings
Certain network settings, such as those related to using a proxy server or custom DNS server, can affect access to content on the internet. Even if you haven't changed your network settings, you might have installed software that changed those settings for you.
To find out whether the issue is with the network settings on your Mac, try viewing the website from some other device connected to the same network.
To find out whether the issue is with your network itself, try viewing the website after connecting to a different network."
Thanks!
I did everything you said in your reply, except check the network issues. Because I can login to AppleTV with Firefox and Chrome on my laptop. I just can't login using Safari. Any way nothing fixed my inability to login. Attached is a screenshot of what i see on the login screen
Hello Cynthia Smyth,
Ah, okay, thanks for that additional info. Are you going to this website?
If so, the option to sign in should be at the top right. There is a search bar, then a blue Sign in button. When you tap that, does a box pop up?
Or is that the box you say is not showing?
Also, please check your Safari > Settings. Do you have Security > Enable JavaScript checked?
Do you have Block all cookies checked or unchecked?
Do you have Safari > Settings > Websites > Pop-up Windows blocked for tv.apple.com?
If you change any settings in Safari, make sure you quit Safari, and try again with a newly opened webpage.
Can we also ask, if you have a Mac, why are you not using the TV app? Can you log in to the TV app?
Thanks.
yes I am going to tv.apple.com.
yes I am clicking the sign in button at the top right.
yes, the picture I sent is the dialog box that comes up after clicking the sign in button. My email address is already filled-in, but I can't edit it, nor can I type in the password.
yes, javascript is enabled.
Block all cookies is not checked
Pop up windows is set to allow
Yes, I have the Apple TV app on my iPhone and I can log in just fine. And as I said in my last message, I can successfully log in via Chrome and Firefox on my Mac. It is only Safari that has the problem.
Hi Cynthia, I ran into the same issue and found a very bizarre work-around.
If you log into this support page with your user ID (top right hand corner), which actually did work for me.
Tick the box (remember me) - not sure if that is important, but that is what I did.
Now I went back to the Apple TV+ page on a new tab.
I could now see that my username was pre-filled with the same username I used on the support page (yes the username password fields are still messed up, showing over/under other text)
Now use the Tab key to go to the password field and fill in your password and press enter.
This worked for me, but I hope that Apple will fix the log-in page as it is very odd / strange that it is not working properly on their own hardware and software.
Good luck
Joe, I was able to get to the password field by using the tab key as you said. And it automatically filled in my password. But, when I then hit the return/enter key nothing happened. And clicking on the arrow to the right of the password field also did nothing.
Hey there Cynthia,

Joe, your workaround worked for me. Thanks so much.
