What is the model of this “standard TV”? Do you mean HDTV (not 4K)?

What is the exact model Apple TV? (There are 4 different 4K models.) Identify your Apple TV model - Apple Support.

Using a lesser cable may restrict video properties like resolution and dynamic range. The cable certification sets the maximum bandwidth that is supported by that cable.

Apple TV 4K (1st generation) has an HDMI 2.0 port, and would benefit from at least a matching 18 Gbps HDMI cable (“premium high speed”). Apple TV 4K (2nd or 3rd generation) has an HDMI 2.1 port, and could benefit from a matching 48 Gbps HDMI cable (“ultra high speed”).

You will need at least HDMI 2.0/HDCP 2.2 ports on all HDMI devices to get (commercial) 4K video.

The used HDMI bandwidth is limited by the least one of the cables and ports. If the TV has HDMI 1.4 ports, then HDMI 2.0 cables are not strictly necessary.
