icloud access without verification code

my sons phone broke so we are giving him my old one. Is there anyway he does not have a sim card. Is there anyway he can get access to his ICloud account to transfer the information from his old phone?

How to Set-Up a New iPhone When the Old iPhone is Dead I'm here on behalf of my wife who has a 1st generation SE that won't start-up due to a dead battery. We have a new SE (2nd generation), but without access to her old phone we won't be able to transfer data to her new phone or access her apple ID account (due to Two-Factor Authentication). Her dead iPhone is the only device on the apple ID account. Here's my question: With the SIM card from the old iPhone installed in the new iPhone, will she be asked during set-up to log-in to her apple ID account that's associated with the old iPhone? Or will she be asked to create a new apple ID account? Or, can she log-in with an apple ID that's associated with a different device (e.g. her laptop)? Thank you!

Help! Broken Phone; How to Data Transfer My daughter's iPhone 10 screen is completely shattered and her phone won't respond to anything (buttons, face ID, touchscreen, etc.). I want to give her my old iPhone 11 Pro, but how can we complete the data transfer? We moved her old sim card to the new phone and then we tried restoring from an iCloud backup, but when she entered her Apple ID, it sent a message to her broken phone to verify her identity. Obviously, she can't approve the attempt or even see the security code to confirm it's really her so we are stuck. I'm going to try to get her broken phone repaired, but does she really have to go without a phone in the meantime? Is there anything we can do? Thank you in advance for any help you can offer.

Enable Items in iCloud:

On the iPhone and other Apple devices, enable items (ie. Contacts) in iCloud.

Example of iCloud Photos On an iPhone:

Go to: Settings
Tap: Your Name (Top Item)
Tap: iCloud
Tap: (Photos) (so that it is green)
