Can't install PrimeVideo on new AppleTv 4K

I've just installed a brand new AppleTv 4K and I can't install Primevideo. For some reason AppleTV assumes that my Primevideo login is my @mac.com address, so I'm prompted to provide my password. How do I get AppleTV to request my Primevideo e-mail address sop that my password matches?

Why is apple tv so hard to log into? Got a new Sony tv, has the apple tv program built in but can't log into apple tv on it. Says there was a problem logging in. Account information is all correct. I use the same username and password on the website, and yet can't do it here. All other streaming platforms have no issues. You can log in on the website, type in some activating code that's on the tv and it logs you on, but no apple has to be so difficult, why? Why does my apple account also have to be an email address? Why can't it be a username like 99% of the world?

Apple TV+ sign-in with windows 11 browser When I open Apple TV+ on my windows 11 PC using Chrome, I'm asked to enter my Apple ID and password. When I enter them I get a message saying my id or password is incorrect. Sometimes I get the Apple TV home screen and try to log in, it skips the sign-in page and goes to a screen saying please log-in or create an account. There is a "continue" button at the bottom, but it doesn't respond when clicked. When I use the Apple TV+ "preview" app, it too rejects my apple ID and/or password. I have subscribed to Apple TV+ and can watch it in my iPhone, iPad and my smart LG TV.
