Trying to move iTunes library

I am trying to move my iTunes (i.e. TV) library from one external drive to another for space reasons. From the TV app on MacOS 12.6.1 I go to Preferences/Files and choose the new drive, create an iTunes folder and then choose that and click OK. See screen shot. I get two empty folders in the iTunes folder on the new drive: Automatically Add to TV and Downloads-TV. Nothing else moves and it has been a couple hours. What am I doing wrong?

iMac 27″, macOS 12.6

If you want to match the default layout of the TV library on a Mac then I would suggest you set the media folder to /<External>/TV/Media. This would let you place the database in /<External>/TV at some point, making the whole library much easier to move from one computer to another as and when needed.

Changing the media folder may not necessarily trigger consolidation of any existing content. Use File > Library > Organize Library > Consolidate Files for this. Once your files have been copied to the external drive and the TV app is referencing those copies you can remove the originals on your internal drive. This has to be done manually.
