Battery Health

My battery health says 100% and condition says normal with a cycle count of 55. What does this mean?

As long as the battery is working fine for your use, then don't worry about it. When the Battery Capacity goes below 80% of its original Design Capacity, macOS will show a battery condition of "Service Recommended". macOS may also show this condition if a hardware fault is detected with the battery.

The cycle count has no real meaning except for two circumstances. One is to determine whether a consumed battery will be replaced under warranty, and the other is to let you know the battery may be getting near to needing replaced as the cycle count nears 1,000 cycles. Many batteries will fail at low cycle counts if the laptop is using the charger more than running on battery. A lot of things affect battery health & life, but this is the basics of the information Apple provides to the user within macOS.
