"Ripple delete" (auto-adjust) marker locations when editing?

I've been using Logic Pro to edit my podcast (I know it's not really designed for this sort of thing but...) and there's one thing I can't seem to figure out.

We use Markers for chapter locations when we export our show and I like to add them as I work my way through the edit. But let's say I finish the edit and I get a note from my co-host and have to remove a section. Doing so is easy, but all of my markers stay in the same place they were first in.

So my question is: is there a way to cause all of the markers to automatically adjust based on my adjusting the audio in my "timeline", much like they would in a video editing NLE? Or will I always have to go back and manually adjust their start times?

In my version it's not even possible after I open the Global Tracks and select the markers. However, I found a work-around that I've been using since years. I always create markers from empty (midi) regions placed on an empty (no output) track. When cutting or moving the timeline, the midi regions are also moved or deleted. After that I just delete all the old markers from the marker list and create new ones from the empty midi regions.

1. Create a track. This can be any kind of track except an audio track. Usually I use an no output track.

2. Take a pencil from the tools and click on the created track to create an empty region.

3. Resize, name and colour your region(s).

4. Create a marker from the region(s) Logic Pro > Navigate > Other > Create Marker for selected Regions. This works as a batch as well.

5. You can now remove, cut or copy a section including the created regions.

6. open the marker list to delete the old markers. select all and delete them.

7. (> goto 4.) Select all created regions and create new markers for them .
