iphone 14 will not call new numbers

Hi,

my iPhone 14 will not call any new numbers.

if a number has previously called me, I can return the call. However if it is a contact who has not called me on this phone, I cannot call it, I just get ‘call failed’

for instance I cannot call a friend who I’ve not spoken to in over a month, but the friend who calls me daily I can as it connects straight away. I need to call the bank, but it’s a new number so it will not connect, yet I can call ‘home’ and it connects straight away.

I’ve tried switching it on and off, aeroplane mode etc.

it thinks I have two numbers (primary and secondary - even though it’s the same number)

can anyone help?

iPhone 14 Pro Max, iOS 16

What did your cellular carrier say when you contacted them about this issue?

If they say that everything is okay on their side, since your iPhone is still covered by warranty, I suggest that you contact Apple Support directly, using this link:--> Get Support, or, even better, make an appointment (*) and have your device inspected at an Apple Store or AASP (Apple Authorized Service Provider) among this list:--> Apple – Location Selector. After checking it out, they'll give you all the available options.

Regards

Giulio
