Iphone recall incedent on recent calls menu

If I am on a call and suddenly I want to hung up, if the other person hungs up first, then quickly the phone goes back the the recents call and by the time I want to hung up, I end up calling accidentally another number on the list. IT HAPPENS A LOT. Is there any way to just click on the recent calls contact and make the phone not call but rather ask if call or just look at the contact info? because the little i on the far right of the screen... very useless. If no correct solution might have to turn into android options.
