iPhone 14 Pro Error Saving H.264 Videos.

As shown in the attached image, that’s what I get when I try to save a video from Files to Photos.

My friend has the same iPhone and he doesn’t face this problem. We tried it on the SAME video files (tried small and large files sizes).

Solutions I tried:

1) Force closing photos app then reopening it.

2) Resetting my iPhone.

Nothing worked.

Any suggested solutions?

Hello ProCreative,

Thanks for posting in the Apple Support Communities. We're happy to look into this with you. We understand that you're running into issues saving videos to your iPhone. We didn't see that you've provided the iOS version you have installed. If you're not updated to iOS 16.1.2, this is a good place to start working towards a solution.

Update your iPhone or iPad wirelessly

1. Back up your device using iCloud or your computer.

2. Plug your device into power and connect to the internet with Wi-Fi.

3. Go to Settings > General, then tap Software Update.

4. If you see more than one software update option available, choose the one that you want to install.

The Settings app on iPhone showing options to update to iOS 15.7 or iOS 16.
5. Tap Install Now. If you see Download and Install instead, tap it to download the update, enter your passcode, then tap Install Now. If you don't know your passcode, learn what to do.

If your iPhone is already up-to-date, providing us with more details about the issue, for example: what is the specific file type of the videos? Are they saved to your iPhone, or stored in iCloud? Does this happen with videos from other sources?

Best regards.
