Hardware keyboard, floating control

Hello guys, I’m reaching out because I don’t know how this on-screen hardware keyboard control is called and I would like to know if there’s a way to turn it off

as you can see it takes a little chunk on the screen that I can live with but, it’s a minor inconvenience that I would like to address.

Thankyou!

polloman1508,

If you go to Settings > General > Keyboard, try turning off 'Predictive' and 'Shortcuts' to see if that resolves the issue for you.

Also, if you go to Settings > Accessibility > VoiceOver, is that turned on or off? If it's on and you turn it off, does that seem to make a difference?

Thanks!

Thank you Drew, but none of the options helped me, the first and second one applies to the onscreen keyboard, checked them anyways but it was not what I’m looking for, the third one I didn’t knew it existed but it seems quite useful on a broken screen iPad, I might use it if necessary but fortunately this iPad is in pretty good condition :)

Still, didn’t hide the floating controls. The last one is like microsoft’s sticky keys…

so yeah, no success yet
