Apple music cannot connect to server

Some apple music songs on my iPhone 12 won't play. I get "cannot connect to server". The same song will work on my mac and my wife's iPhone 7. It is not all songs and I can't determine any pattern in which song will work or not. I tried getting rid of VPN, uninstalling and reinstalling app and restarting phone. No luck.
