I am using MacBook pro M1 2021, it gets disconnected when the display goes into sleep/off. I am not closing the lid /display. My iPad stays connected to the same iPhone hotspot irrespective of sleep state.
Anyone know how to resolve this?

What you are describing sounds expected for a hotspot.

Why does it sound like expected behaviour? The iPad, and other devices, stay connected. Can you check with the product team and let me know why this behaviour is inconsistent with the rest of the platform, please?
