Could not run Wake Apple TV

Using “Shortcuts” app on iPhone I can no longer “Wake Apple TV”. I’ve been doing this for years without problem, but lately I receive an error response;


“The operation took to long too complete. Please try again”


iPhone (14pro) and Apple TV (4k) both has the latest software updates.


What can I do?

Does it help if you delete, and recreate the shortcut?


If no, please check if you are using the recommended Wi-Fi settings.

Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points - Apple Support


If you are using a Wi-Fi + Ethernet model of the Apple TV and you are on a Wi-Fi connection, please check if the issue persists if you use an ethernet cable.
