Sleep Apple TV Shortcut on iPhone

I have had an automation set up in my Shortcuts on my iPhone X, when turning Do Not Disturb on it should Sleep my Apple TV. This has been working for the past year plus however recently when I turn Do Not Disturb option on within my iPhone, I get an error message stating “iphone shortcut automation failed when turning do not disturb on could not run sleep apple tv” with no other code or explanation (see attached photo). How can I get my shortcut to work again?

Hi DattMullea16,

Try the following steps from the 'If you can't add an accessory' section of Add a HomeKit accessory to the Home app - Apple Support. Although it sounds like your accessories have been added and were working properly previously, these steps can help with many Automation issues.

"If you can't add an accessory"

Restart your Apple TV as well- Restart Apple TV - Apple Support. Test again to see if resolved.

Kind regards.

DattMullea16,

Thanks for giving that a try. Have you made sure that both your iPhone and Apple TV are fully updated? If not, that's a good step to help rule out general software issues. Be sure to back up your iPhone beforehand:
