AirPods 3 doesn't have auto-switch function in settings. Are they fake?

The AirPods passes every test except auto-switching, they just do not have it in settings, are these just really good fakes? When first connecting to the phone the case flashed white and connected for the first time like they should.

They popped up automatically to find my and seem to work like normal.

On checkcoverage it says "date of purchase not confirmed" this is supposedly normal for retailers however I bought these last week, it should have been updated by now. The one year warranty lines up with the date of purchase, everything in order except the setting that doesn't exist.

Re: The setting that doesn't exist:

Manual or automatic switching ?

Eg: Maybe automatic switching is turned off ?

Check through Apple Support's article:

Eg: says:

"Turn off automatic switching

If you don't want your AirPods to switch automatically,

you can turn off automatic switching on your iPhone, iPad, Mac, or Apple TV.

On your iPhone or iPad

    1. With your AirPods in your ears and connected to your iPhone or iPad, go to Settings > Bluetooth. Alternatively, you can go to Settings > [your AirPods].
    2. Tap the More Info button  next to your AirPods in the list of devices.
    3. Tap Connect to This iPhone [or iPad].
    4. Tap When Last Connected to This iPhone [or iPad].
    5. To turn on this feature again, tap Automatically.

All the best :-)
