how can I create multiple itunes libraries and then switching between itunes libraries on a pc
Windows, Windows 10
Yes then what there are no other itunes libraries offered I created 5 I think but then again I think is always the problem Now I don't even have the original library I started with everything is gone I don't believe you can save a library or have multiple libraries anymore as this program is obsolete and they replaced it with Apple Music SAD
When you use the shift-start-iTunes method to switch libraries you will be shown a file selection window based on the location of the current library. You need to browse to the location of a different library to select it. It is possible to paste shortcuts to each library in each folder so that you can pick from those, but you must use the shift-start-iTunes > Choose Library method. Otherwise clicking on an .itl file, or a shortcut to one, will open iTunes with the last library that was opened.

I reinstalled a fresh clean version of windows 10 I managed to download and install iTunes I am building a library and did try to create a second library but am doing it all wrong and not grasping the instructions provided in iTunes help article I did try but I'm not getting it right need more help I closed as instructed maybe I shouldn't hold the shift key and double click the iTunes icon on the desktop Need help Thank You for all the other helpful advice I know with guidance I can do this
To switch libraries double-click the iTunes shortcut on the desktop or click the link in the start menu and then immediately press and hold down the shift key. Keep holding until you see the prompt asking you to choose or create a library.

It actually did I didn't sign out and shut down the computer and today everything is there only had to locate one song that had the little ! next to it No anti-virus software of any kind I'm looking for an excuse to throw this 25 year old Dellasaurus in the trash Thank You for the advice
New Question I do not see my song total I saw someone put a screen shot of their iTunes player and mine is not even close to that view posted I have no idea how many songs I have as it is to difficult to count and scroll
Launch iTunes with the Shift key held down as needed.

Fantastic and Thank You It worked and I also discovered if I leave delete or clear downloads it erases everything so I sign out first Thanks again Ken
Glad that helped. iTunes should preserve the state of the library on exit without you needing to sign out of the store. Do you have any third party anti virus software?
