Activation lock

My ipad suddenly wants my apple id to remove activation lock. It doesn’t accept email and password that I use for my apple id. What other means can I can I remove activation lock so I can use the ipad?

If you're getting told that Apple ID can't be used to unlock it and are the unit's original owner, click here and submit an unlock request.

If you're getting told that Apple ID can't be used to unlock it and aren't the unit's original owner, contact the person who is.

If you're getting a different error message, post it in this thread.
