Best monitor to pair with 2020 MacBook air M1 chip?

I bought a Samsung UHD 28" monitor - U28E590 and connected the 2020 MacBook air with M1chip through a Bon elk 6in 1 multi hub. Strange things happen from time to time. e.g losing connection to the monitor (have tried both HDI ports and display port to connect) losing connection to external keyboard, having to reboot to get the monitor to wake up etc. Have reverted to my old Samsung monitor but it is not a high resolution one. does anyone have similar problems with the MacBook air M1/ samsung UHD monitor combination. Is it the multi hub thats the problem? What UHD monitor works with your M1 MacBook air?

Thanks in advance to anyone who has some observations, experience or input into this.

Verify that the hub actually supports 4K (UHD) displays @ 60Hz.

Also, are you using a certified HDMI or DisplayPort cables? Generic cables don't always work well, especially the ones that are supplied by the manufacturer as they will ship the cheapest ones possible with their units.

Thank you for your helpful insights woodmeister50. I have checked that the bon.elk 6in1 multi hub is indeed 4K UHD. But I notice that it says 3840x2160@30 Hz, not 60 as you have mentioned above. The monitor have two HDMI inputs, HDMI 1 is 30Hz and HDMI 2 is 60HZ so as a starting point I assume I should use HDMI 1. Success on this would also depend I guess, as you have mentioned, on the quality of the HDMI cable. The monitor also has a Display port input. The manual tells me this is 60Hz so would it be true to say that this would not be supported by my bon.elk hub which is rated for 30Hz? Another question, If I have the option of HDMI and Display port, which is better to use? Thanks in advance, much appreciated.
