Sim failure

My iPhone shows “SOS” next to the Wi-Fi icon. And when I start my phone I get a message “sim failure”. I cannot connect to the internet via cellular service

Reinsert your SIM card.

If that doesn’t work, contact your cellular provider to get a new SIM card
