Error: Firmware file is corrupt

When updating my iPhone 13 to IOS 16.1.2 I am getting an error message: iPhone could not be updated because firmware file was corrupt. I tried restarting my Mac and phone both, disabled pass code, turned off anti-virus, etc. and still am unable to update

Delete the downloaded ipsw file and try again.

Also, if you are running any kind of 3rd party security software or a VPN, disable it or remove it. It can interfere with the verification process.
