Mag battery pack doesn't seem to charge my iPhone

I bought a mag battery and it doesn't seem to charge my phone

so I never used it much

how can I tell if it's defecyive

i did charge it fully to used for a trip and doesn't charge my phone at all

Please advice

There are a few requirement you'll want to confirm to use your MagSafe battery pack.

If you are using an iPhone 12 or later:

You'll want to make sure that your iPhone iOS is fully up to date. iOS 14.7 or later is requires to use the battery pack. Check out how to update here: Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support
You'll also want to be sure that your MagSafe charged by plugging it into a power adapter
Restart your iPhone. Restarting can help when you are experiencing unexpected issues: Restart your iPhone - Apple Support.
