I contacted support and they agreed that it is a bug. We also discovered that it doesn't work using iCloud Calendar on Safari on an iPad.
They didn't seem to know when or if it would be fixed.
Hey Lord Sumptuous,
Let's get a little more information to help isolate the issue.
If this is happening when using one browser, if you use Safari, are the setting in Web iCloud Calendar preferences still not saving changes?
Keep us posted.

Best.
Same problem here, and it is *infuriating* prefrence aren't saved, and it keeps going back to Weekly view, week starts on Sunday, and 12-hour clock. And I have to set it to Montly view, week starts on Monday, 24-hour.
i've had three chat sessions with Apple, and they're all hopeless. "delete your cookies" is the best advice they can come up, once that is they've realised that i'm a) Windows, b) using Chrome and c) it's not an App but the web browser. And yes, this ony started happening a couple of months ago when they updated all their iCloud Apps to the hew new version.
please acknowledge and fix this bug Apple. thanks.
(I am using Windows 10, with Chrome. all latest version, yes. Don't tell me to delete my cookies again)

Regards.
We've started trialling CalendarWIz. It's $9 per month but it does seem to work!
This now seems to have been fixed - at least it has on my iMac using Chrome. Thank goodness - it was surprisingly frustrating!
Thanks for helping.
It happens on Brave (which is basically Chrome) and also Microsoft Edge. I didn't think Safari was available for Windows.
I've noticed that simply refreshing the page while viewing the monthly calendar will switch from monthly to weekly view and reset the preferences to their defaults (week starts on Sunday, 12 hr clock).
Same problem here - using Chrome. Though it seems to be intermittent. In particular the problem seems to arise when the Mac is restarted, not when the browser is restarted. OS etc all up to date. Apple support hasn't managed to solve the issue either.
No, none of that answered my question.
Support was just a music queue for 20 minutes so I gave up.
Does anyone else know why web iCloud Calendar preferences don't save?
That is extremely disappointing of Apple when Safari is their browser and they don't fix this idiotic bug that just arose fairly recently.
Thanks. I did a quick test and it seems fine now using Brave (Chrome) on Windows 10 too. Of course, Apple haven't told me that it's fixed!
I agree - I have found that to be the case as well. Obviously enough people were annoyed about it to get Apple to resolve it - should never had the bug in the first place.
