Connecting THREE HDMI external displays to a Macbook

Hi All,

I have a Macbook Pro 2019 (with 4x USBC/Thunder). Unlike my even older HP laptop, or my newer Microsoft Surfaces (or older MS Surfaces), it seems to struggle with external displays.

It seems fine to take TWO external displays but barfs at taking 3. I have USB-C to HDMI on two of them and they work fine.. the third one I have an old F2000 adapter which turns USB-A v-3 to HDMI and I can get it to display just about.

The first two are fine at high-res, the third one tops out at 1920x1040, or 1024x728. And flickers. It's fairly unusable because when you drag a small window across it's suddenly huge and doesn't fit.

Question: it's now 2022. Has anyone found a way to connect 3x external to a Macbook? When it's at my desk I don't need the macbook display itself, as it's tucked in a corner and I work on the 3 wall-mounted displays.

Thanks

Would this be your model of MacBook Pro, GabhanMacLiam ? MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2019, Four Thunderbolt 3 ports) - Technical Specifications (CA)

if so, apple says you get the internal display/screen and two external ones, at 4K… you might be able to use an active Thunderbolt 3 dock with DisplayLink technology and two video outputs to maybe get around that limitation., some offer hdmi outputs only, some offer either DisplayPorts and/or hdmi ports with you being able to use either one or mix n’ match as long as you don’t exceed the limit of 2
