Screensaver still rotates photos

After upgrading to Monterey the pictures in my screen saver have started rotating again. I see this has been a persistent problem over quite a while. I've exported the photos to a folder and selected that instead. It all works fine that way. It seems (as has been observed previously) that the screensaver is ignoring the fact that some photos were rotated in Photos. Is there really no easier way to fix this problem properly?

It has still not yet been fixed in the current system version macOS 13 Ventura.

I doubt, it will be fixed in the older system version you are using now.

For the time being, you may want to export the rotated photos and then reimport them, so the original in your Photos Library will have the rotation applied. Then use the reimported, rotated version in your screensaver album.
