How to connect MacBook Pro M1 with 2 external monitors?

Hey guys,

I need assistance with a setup I am running for my office.

Devices:

MacBook Pro 13" M1 2020

Monitor ASUS VG248

Monitor Samsung C27F390

HP Universal Dock - https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05639574

I know that that my Mac doesn't natively support 2 monitors, but as I read around the web, with the DisplayLink software and this HP Dock, which is DisplayLink certified, it should work.

Please let me know what I am doing wrong, as it is not working and I am struggling here.

I added a DisplayLink adapter to my MacBook Air (M2 - 2022). It seemed to be recognized, but nothing happened. Found out I needed the DisplayLink Manager app too.

Even with that app launching at startup, it requires you to keep your laptop screen open long enough to login and start up. Once the manager extension loads and your Mac's internal screen turns non-primary (looks like an extra screen and desktop items are gone), you can close it, clamshell mode will activate, and your external monitors will be used for the rest of the session.

That does appear to be a supported DisplayLink-capable dock.

did you load Drivers, either from HP or from DisplayLink?
