Officejet printer doesn't seem to have a driver

Is the hp officejet 5610 compatible with MacBook Air with Ventura? I can't seem to find printer software.

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 13.0

Hi,

The drivers from the HP support page are for very old Mac operating system versions.

The following would be entirely experimental. It may not work at all with macOS 13 Ventura and your Mac, but you could perhaps try the HP 5.1.1 Printer Software Update anyway (despite the System Requirements limitation; it says Not compatible with macOS v12 and newer). An HP Officejet 5600 series version 2.0.5 driver is listed in the referenced article Printer and scanner drivers for Mac - Apple Support.

You may have to reset the printing system before a test.

Reset the printing system on your Mac to solve a problem – Apple Support (UK)

Add a printer to your printer list so you can use it on Mac – Apple Support (UK)

As always, make sure that you have backup copies of all important files before testing anything. Software conflicts cannot be ruled out.
