Screen size when opening Amazon webpage

Okay, this fix was working perfectly after a couple of dozen product pages on Amazon. Then it started shrinking pages again. Just like every other fix I've seen. Thanks for trying!

Edit: that was at 100% page size. Currently it's working correctly again after bumping it up to 115% in the address bar's AA menu. Crossing my fingers.

Using I-Pad

I was not using the Amazon App but had website on Home Screen.

DL the Amazon App

Used the App and it started doing it.

Went to Amazon on Home Screen, started doing it again

Deleted the App

Deleted history in Safari

Forced a restart

Went back to Home Screen and accessed Amazon

So far, I have gone to 20 different items and it has not done it

Not certain if it will continue to stay normal

If it continues again, I am not certain if I will continue to stay normal😂

Screen size remaining at 100% but will certainly try your suggestion of 115% if it starts up again!

After closing the Safari tab then opening a new one and going to Amazon.com everything is too big at 115% so I set it to 100% and refresh. That works for a few product pages then shrinkage starts. Bump back to 115% and refresh. It seems to continue proper page scaling for as long as I’m browsing Amazon.com. But if I close the tab or leave Amazon.com I have to go through all of that again.

This problem has nothing to do with Apple. This is an Amazon issue that manifests, both, when using the browser and their web-based app. The source of the problem is Amazon’s continued a persistent use of fixed-size banner ads on many of their pages that fail to adapt to the navigating device in question (iPad).

Yeah, this problem has to be addressed by Amazon. It’s not going to change by doing anything to your settings, at least not permanently. It’s all in the way each product is presented. If there’s a big graphic layout below the initial description the page is resized by the Amazon page. I just pinch and zoom as I go. It’s irritating but, it doesn’t look like Amazon is going to address it anytime soon.

I tried something that seems to be working. On the Amazon site in Safari, on my iPad Pro, I tapped on the aA and in the drop down box I tapped on “Request Mobile Website”. It suddenly looked a little different and after viewing many items, it hasn’t been shrinking the page! I hope this helps everyone!

Had same problem this fix seemed to work 4me. On iPad: settings, safari, settings for website, page zoom 115%. Good luck, hope works 4u. :) if yes (or no) please reply.

Nowhere did anyone say they were using the Amazon app. It’s happening on iPad safari webpage.

I am having the same problem, both on iPad for Safari, and in the Amazon app for iPad.

Did anyone find a solution to this? I am having the same problem when using the Amazon App on my iPad mini. I did try reinstalling the app and that didn’t work.

No - I was told to contact Apple support but haven’t had time yet to do so.

Thank you, that didn’t fix the problem. Now it only shrinks to 2/3 the size when the page is a little to big for the screen.

Did you ever find a solution to fixing this problem? Mine does the same exact thing.
