You can't. Systems no longer are packaged in dmg files. Either go to Systems/Software Updates settings pane and select Install (that is if you get that the system update is available to you).

Otherwise download the free MDS app and download the latest Ventura public version which is 13.0.1.

It doesn't come as a DMG (disk image). macOS hasn't come as a DMG since macOS Sierra.

I have an imac 23 that the owner lost access; she cannot activate/login or use the imac it its present state.

command-R boot and command-S boot go into useless dead end menus demanding apple id or other things we do not have.

She is ok with a factory reset...she just wants to use her imac again.

I would like to clean install the latest macos onto it. I have a USB-ssd 512GB and Windows TransMac software to burn mac images onto the SSD. I have no mac of my own... only windows.

what do you suggest?
