iOs wants deleted Mail app to restore

Clicking on Mailto links in Edge for iOS and Safari generates a message to restore the iOS Mail app. I removed the mail app years ago and use Outlook for iOS instead for mail. Very annoying since iOS Mail has been deleted and their are no specific mail settings for those two browsers to point them to Outlook. All other settings are correct. Any ideas?
