Card was locked for security reasons, couldn’t make payments and called to unlock it

I want to make a payment on my Apple Card in the wallet. The card was locked so I did what anyone would, and called Apple and explain to them the situation, and they requested me to change my password. Easy enough. Was informed they locked it because of some security concerns, and a reset would allow them to unlock it.

card was not unlocked.

call again.

told the same thing, and again did the same thing. Another password reset later and a locked card.

months pass, moved across the county, big mistake faced a lot of anguish and financial frustrations, came back, new job, and finally as of yesterday new place. Great. Time to move forward and work on building back my credit.

well I just remembered I haven’t been making payments on my card because it never got unlocked….

I look in my wallet and the card is gone now.

account closed.

yet now I have the option to make payments. ?

I feel this is ridiculous. As the account was once open, locked for my security, called multiple times, reset password multiple times in hopes to pay off the card completely before moving across the country. I was told it would be unlocked. no worries. So i continued on with my life and here I am. Just realizing I was unable to make payments when they account was open in good standing, and now I have access to make payments after the account closed and deal with the damage it’s done to my credit score.

my questions are,

does apple keep call logs/ notes on file?

can my account be reopened or do I just have to eat the loss?

who’s the best to dispute this with ? if possible.

and do I even stand a chance?

if I do and they run another credit report it will only hurt my credit score more..

and is today a holiday for apple/ Goldman Sachs? (I keep calling to ask these things… all I hear is an automated voice telling me to call back when they open 8am Monday- Friday. Or maybe they run on another time zone)

its upsetting and just doesn’t feel fair. If my account would have unlocked when it was open it would have never been closed because I would have been able to make payments!
