There’s 2 types of apps:
The Apple TV App, and the Apple TV+ app (note the plus sign). Confusing, yes I know.
The Apple TV app on third party devices offers access the iTunes Store and your purchase Library in addition to the Apple TV+ subscription service.
The Apple TV+ App only offers access to the subscription service. The App on your Xfinity box is the Apple TV+ app. And would not offer access to your purchase library. https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/apple-tv-plus-overview
