MacBook Pro 15 inch 2017 Flexgate / Stage Light problem

Macbook pro 15 inch 2017 has the same stage light / Fluxgate problem that the 13 inch model has. Please provide link to Apple repair / replacement program

My 2017 15inch top spec MacBook Pro has now suffered from this problem, the screen turns off when I open it more than 40 degrees. Previously was displaying the stage light issue described. Apple Southampton said £669 to repair. The machine was bought new for >£3000 and was top of the range in 2017 from apple - It is now useless without a repair, so that amounts to a cost of £600/year (3000/5yrs). Come on apple, if you want to keep loyal customers, either make products that last or provide a repair programme. This is particularly pertinent as the 13inch model, 2017, does have a screen repair/replacement programme and the 15inch model suffers from exactly the same issue. So apple, please explain why the 15inch is not included in that scheme? Is it simply because more 13inch were sold than 15inch and therefore you've had more complaints from the 13inch group? Who else has suffered this problem? Please do comment if you have. Apple, please provide an answer. Thank you.
