Unknown why my Apple Pencil 1 on my old iPad Pro 10.5, need press hard before it react and sometime it disappear a fraction of second and come back again. I find an article in the community for hard reset (long press home+sleep button till Apple Logo appear), it doesn't solve the problem.
My version is 15.6.1

AASPs may be much closer than your nearest Apple Store.
As the problem has developed over time, this may suggest progressive failure of the Pencil’s pressure sensor. A defective Apple Pencil cannot be repaired; if faulty, the only remedy is replacement.
Perhaps your Pencil or iPad has a fault. You might be best advised to visit the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store or Apple Authorised Service Provider (AASP) - where the technicians will be able to test and assess your iPad and Pencil:
Thank you for your suggestion. Maybe I need to clarify, that the pencil and iPad has worked perfectly for years. I think the problem is getting serious after a while of working with iPadOS 15. It's not a problem that occurred after upgrade, but it's the time.
Be the way, the good (trusted) AASP/Genius Bar is about hundreds of km far away. It's for me not easy to visit one.
