can’t download free apps it would ask for verification and to update payment method

bought apps with a gift card accidentally subscribed to an app and after that every time i tried downloading a free app it would ask for verification and then to update my card, i threw the card away a month ago and don't have any others deleted the card nothing happened still can’t buy free apps or anything
