I bought an unlocked iPhone 14 pro from Amazon Germany and gave it to a friend in Egypt, when he tried an Egyptian sim card he's getting no service, when we try with a German one it works! How can I make it work in Egypt?
The phone is probably locked to a carrier in Germany. You will need to determine which carrier it is locked to and ask them to unlock it.

I don't believe Amazon is an authorized seller of iPhones in Europe.
It's entirely possible that it's not actually sold by Amazon, but by someone else through Amazon. Amazon is almost as bad as eBay any more.
Return it and get your money back. The phone is NOT unlocked as advertised. Go buy a phone from an authorized retailer instead. Or, better yet, send your friend money to buy a phone in their own country, where they will actually have warranty coverage.
In the product description it says "Unlocked for All Carriers" and when trying different German carriers it works! So I am not sure how it can be locked to a specific carrier?
And if it's somehow locked to a carrier, how can I know which carrier to contact?
Could it be "region locked" like Samsung does? does apple have that too?
