SoundHound

I've used Shazam for many years on my Android phone with no problems. Shazam would seldom work on my iPhone. I later found SoundHound is a great alternative. I have an iPhone 11 and every time I open SoundHound to search a sound title and artist that is playing on a regular FM radio station, SoundHound will automatically switch radio from FM radio to media player. Any ideas why and how I can stop this?
