2FA texts not coming through

not getting texts for 2 factor authentication, I did before, but suddenly I don't I get my regular texts. But suddenly the texts for 2 factor authentication from banks, etc are just not coming through on my phone or IPad . Although Apple' s do. I tried the suggestion of making sure my devices are listed in my Apple account and they are. So that was no help. This is so frustrating- I've turned the phone on and off, taken off all of my blocked numbers except for 1 that I am sure is not a bank or anyone that would send me the 2 factor texts. Any ideas??? Both my IPad and Iphone are unable to receive these 2 factor texts.

ipad: My phone number is "Unavailable for sign-in" Just got a new iPad. Cloned data from old iPad; everything "seems" to be working ok. But noticed certain texts (e.g. from airlines, from credit card companies sending 2FA texts) were not coming in to this iPad. They did come in to my iPhone and my other iPad Pro. Noticed that in Settings, tapping on my AppleID at the top, and then tapping "Name, Phone Numbers, Email", that my phone number says "Unavailable for sign-in." Tapping the "info" icon next to the phone number, a pop-up says "This Phone Number Cannot be Used to Sign In" and tells me my number is already in use with another account. Is this why texts aren't arriving on this device? I should add that my iPhone and my iPad Pro *also* show that my phone number is "Unavailable for sign-in" but texts are arriving to these devices just fine. Is there something about setting up a new iPad that I overlooked???

SMS / MMS receiving issues Hello friends! Last week I had a issue receiving SMS / MMS texts messages. I did everything I was supposed to (restart, hard reset, log out, turn off messages, etc.) and when nothing worked, I did a factory reset. The next day, I received about 20 SMS messages. So I thought it was fixed. Until today. Since I had to reset, all of my apps have been signed out. So, with two-factor authentication, many of the codes are sent to my phone as SMS texts. I am not receiving SMS texts again. My phone is up-to-date with the latest iOS, my carrier settings are current and I can receive iMessages, but not SMS. Someone else have these issues and can point me in the right direction? Thanks for your help!

Contact your cellphone provider SMS is their feature.
