Deleting emails on computer

It’s likely that your Mail application on Windows is not using IMAP to connect to the Yahoo mail server. You can find more information on that here:

On the bottom of the page is a section specific to Yahoo Mail.

If you are using other Mail applications on Windows (e.g. Outlook, or something else), you can try to go to the settings and make sure the server information for Yahoo is configured as follows:

Incoming Mail (IMAP) Server

• Server - imap.mail.yahoo.com
• Port - 993
• Requires SSL - Yes

Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server

• Server - smtp.mail.yahoo.com
• Port - 465 or 587
• Requires SSL - Yes
• Requires authentication - Yes

Your login info

• Email address - Your full email address (name@domain.com)
• Password - Generate App Password
• Requires authentication - Yes
