facetime calls

Hello everyone,

Ever since i upgraded to the Ventura system on my mac, i have had a recurring facetime problem. If i have an incoming facetime call, it will ring on my mac but the picture/pick up button does not appear. I also cannot open the facetime app. However, it does ring normally on my phone and i am able to answer. Once i answer, i then have to transfer the call to my mac. it's cumbersome to say the least. What am i doing wrong?

MacBook Air, macOS 12.6

This Apple Support article explains how things should work in FaceTime using Ventura.

Answer calls in FaceTime on Mac – Apple Support

If you find Factime isn't working as expected:

First try quitting the FaceTime app, Restarting Mac, and signing back in to Mac & FaceTime.

Check if all is in order now.

If needed:

or

If you haven't already, you may want to update to the newest version: Mac OS 13.1
