USB-A Superdrive support in Ventura?

My USB-A Superdrive no longer is recognized by my MacBook Pro since I installed Ventura. Is there a fix?

The Apple USB superDrive draws 900 milliAmps. A typical USB port on a Dock supplies 500 milliAmps.

It MUST be connected to a USB port on the chassis to have any hope of working.

You can see the amount desired and amount supplied for each device in:

 menu > about this Mac > (System Report) > USB pane.

Thanks for the reply. Yes it is connected directly to the USB-C port on the computer, although I had to use a USB to USB-C connector. As I said, these Superdrives, though still being sold by Apple, are not compatible with the new iMac Mi running Ventura 13.1. Yet I was told they are supported by the Mac mini. Does not make sense.

There is also a thread posted by Archimedes_of_Syracuse with the same complaint. I noticed that there are 9 other "Me Too" besides my own. It must be an issue.
