Battery issue of my Apple Watch Ultra

i bought my first ultra 6 days ago. Took it out of the box set it up put it on. Within 6 hours it was drained. Charged it fully again and went to bed. In the middle of the night it was day. I was ******. 36 hours my ***. Next day I sent it back. Got another one. Same thing!!!! Really Apple? $800! For lemon after lemon. I’ve had 10 Apple Watches. Never had this problem. I use it sparingly. Don’t listen to music. Really use it for time and temperature

The last poster TX-Bill has already tried your remedies and on three different Watches.

It pays to read through the thread before coming in with remedies already discusses.

But yes that is the second troubleshooting thing to do after restarting both devices.

No way in **** it runs 36 hours without a charge unless you have nothing running or it in low power mode at all times which then does not accurately reflect your energy burned. Also- does NOT keep accurate stand hours or flights of steps since last update Mar 23

Thanks for the suggestion. I checked the added apps - google maps rarely used, Tile rarely used, Spotify seldom use

I will try a reset as this battery life is just a deal breaker for me.

To get better life I use airplane mode too - many days if use maybe 4 before.

So disappointing and one of the primary reason I got the watch. I thought I’d be able to sleep with it and perhaps charge it every other day. No way. I’m at 10 percent or less everyday before going to bed and charge it every night.

I have the same issue , I bought my apple watch last year on November in the beginning the battery used to last up to days , now i charge to 100% and leave to work at 9pm at 3 am it would be 50% while not using it ,the watch would be on my hand just telling me the time .

and i dont know if anyone else have this issue i turned my watch off for 8-10m and when i turned it on the watch drained itself while it wasn’t on.

can someone help please …

Is there a way to set Apple Watch not to use anything while not on wrist?

I was thinking of trying something with “shortcuts” app and see if I can disable apps running on background while the watch is not on my wrist, but I don’t think shortcuts is that advanced.

I have similar issue as I don’t like to use my watch while I sleep, and when I wake up and see the battery went down just as of I was wearing it. Which is absurd since the watch is not moving or reading heart rate. Now coming it think about it, sometimes I see heart rate light is on while it’s sitting on table. 🤷‍♂️

Same problem I shut all the apps off and alerts charged it to full at 5 pm woke up dead when I woke up at 4am this watch is not worth 20 dollars looking for a different company as I write this it’s ridiculous. That app is not put anything out of with us, but want the money for this piece of garbage

Yep! One of the biggest reasons I decided to buy the Ultra (among other truly great things). It's a bigger watch, so has room for a bigger battery.

Who wants to erase their watch though? I have it set up just how I like it

Right now my Apple Watch SE 2020 battery is only lasting 6-8 hours and I always use the future that keeps the battery healthy otimized battery charging
