Hi there,
I have an external hard drive that is in the format: Mac OS Extended and made sure that permissions are set to Read & Write. However, the drive is NOT writable when using Macbook Pro (work) running macOS Ventura but IS when using another Macbook Pro (personal) running on macOS Monterey.
Has anyone experienced this and found a fix?

In addition to Barney's question ... can you explain a bit more about the history of this external drive? What brand, model, how was it formatted, have you been using the drive manufacturer's third party drive utilities, tools, firmware, encryption, etc. All the major drive manufacturers offer those tools (WD, Seagate, LaCie, etc.). They typically require special software to be installed as well as firmware. Those third party tools have to be compatible with Ventura or the drive may not work ..
Does your work require a Profile which might prevent exfiltrating data to a removable drive?
I don't have any problem writing to Mac OS Extended drives in Ventura.
