MacOS TV App 'Date Added' Defaults to Alphabetical Order

I've created a Smart Playlist which has the filter: 'Date Added' 'Is in the Last' '14 Days'. However, the films in the playlist are sorted by alphabetical order. Is there any way to get the films to display in the order of the date that they were actually added?

TIA

Mac Studio, macOS 12.6

Thank you for clarifying. The options to edit a playlist on your Mac in the Apple TV app are listed in the following guide:

Manage your library in the Apple TV app on Mac

1. In the Apple TV app  on your Mac, click Library.
2. Select the playlist in the sidebar and do either of the following:
Change the playback order of items: Drag the items into the order you want.
Remove an item: Click the More button  that appears with the item, then choose Remove from Playlist.
Removing an item from a playlist does not remove it from your library or storage device.

Hope this helps!

Have a great day.

Hey there, and welcome to Apple Support Communities TimDanaher,

We can certainly understand your concern and can help provide some insight.

We recommend checking out this link for more information on how to edit a Smart Playlist on your Mac.

"Edit Smart Playlists

You can’t add or remove items directly from a Smart Playlist. To change which items are included in the playlist, you must change its criteria.

  1. In the Music app  on your Mac, select a Smart Playlist in the sidebar.
  2. Note: If you want to change the order of the items in a Smart Playlist, choose View > Sort By. When you choose View > Sort By > Playlist Order, you can drag items into the order you want.
  3. Click Edit Rules, then change, add, or remove rules or controls.
  4. Click OK. "

For additional information, check out this link: Create, edit, and delete Smart Playlists in Music on Mac - Apple Support

These steps will help ensure your device is working with ease and can fix common issues like the ones you’re experiencing.

Kindest regards!

Thanks, but my question was about the TV app, not the Music app. Under 'View'in the TV App, there is no option for 'Date Added'. Seems to me like a pretty big oversight that you can create a Smart Playlist where the criterion is 'Date Added' is 'In the Last' n 'Days', but then you can't sort that resulting Smart Playlist according to 'Date Added;'.
