I've run the diagnostic and the results were fine.

Win 10 64

iTunes 12.11.3 and 12.12.7 same issue

CD not scratched or damaged.

iTunes will play directly from CD.

Windows Media Player can play directly from CD.

Windows Media Play can rip the CD to mp3 files.

iTunes can import the mp3 files and play them.

I tried Apple Lossless , ACC, and mp3 formats to import in iTunes.

What iTunes does do is create a file that looks like it ripped in the correct format, with the correct extension, in the correct folder structure. BUT those files are only like 12kb. It's catching all the meta data, but not the audio data.

Windows, Windows 10

Thanks for reaching out DRowka,

It sounds like you're having some trouble importing songs in iTunes. We can help.

A great place to start is with these steps to Import songs from CDs into iTunes on PC:

Import songs from CDs into your iTunes library

iTunes imports most songs in a few minutes, and an entire CD in about 10 minutes.
1. In the iTunes app  on your PC, insert an audio CD into your computer’s CD or DVD drive, or into an external drive that’s connected to your computer.
If you don’t see info for the CD, click the CD button  near the top left of the iTunes window.
2. Choose what you want to do in the window that appears:
- Import all songs on the CD: Click Yes. iTunes starts importing the CD. When it’s finished, go to step 6.
- Prevent certain songs from being imported: Click No and go to step 3.
3. When the list of songs appears in the iTunes window, click to remove the checkmark next to any songs you don’t want to import.
If you don’t see checkboxes next to the songs, choose Edit > Preferences, click General, then make sure “List view checkboxes” is selected.
If you’re not connected to the internet or if iTunes can’t find the CD’s information, songs appear as “Track 01,” “Track 02,” and so on. See If you don’t see songs in iTunes.
4. To add the selected songs to your library, click Import CD near the top right of the iTunes window.
5. Choose your import options, then click OK.
You can continue to use iTunes while songs are being imported.
To cancel importing, click Stop Importing. Any songs that iTunes imports before you cancel importing are added to your iTunes library.
6. When the songs are finished being imported, click the Eject button  near the top right of the iTunes window.
Once the songs are imported into your iTunes library, you can play themcreate a playlist with them, and more.

Hope that helps.

Take care.
