Hi Anniealex123,

Thanks for coming to Apple Support Communities for help today.

It sounds like you and your husband are sharing an Apple ID. This is not recommended because issues like this can occur. You should create your own Apple ID for your iPhone as described here: How to create a new Apple ID.

Then you will want to archive iCloud information if yours and your husband's information is combined: Archive or make copies of the information you store in iCloud. You may want to export your contacts from iCloud to the vCard format and import to your new account later as the article describes.

After everything you want has been archived, you'll want to sign out of your husband's Apple ID on your device: Sign out of iCloud on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Apple TV, or Mac. Then you'd sign in with your new Apple ID.

If you were sharing an Apple ID for purchases, you should know you can set up Family Sharing to do this. This article will help you do that: What is Family Sharing?

Let us know if you have further questions.

Have a fantastic day!
