Iphone not responding

I can see all of my apps.I'm charged up to 80%. I can swipe back and forth between screens to see all my apps. But..when I click on any of apps, nothing happens. I can't make calls, text, use camera, look at pics...NOTHING. It won't even allow me to reset it. I tried the volume up button/release, volume down button/release, then hold side button. However when I press side button, apple logo does not appear. Instead Siri comes up. I contacted Apple Support, but I'm wondering if this has happened to anyone else and how it was resolved.

Hello chriscm2000,

Since you are still able to launch Siri using the side button, let's see if you can do a normal restart using the steps below:

1. Press and hold either volume button and the side button until the power-off slider appears.
The volume button is located on the left side of the device, and the side button is located on the right

2. Drag the slider, then wait 30 seconds for your device to turn off. If your device is frozen or unresponsive, force restart your device.
3. To turn your device back on, press and hold the side button (on the right side of your iPhone) until you see the Apple logo.

You can also find those steps in this resource: Restart your iPhone Restarting can sometimes help address odd behaviors.

Additionally, do you see the on-screen indicator when using the volume buttons to adjust the volume?

Are you able to ask Siri to open an app? If so, are you able to use the app as expected from there?

Let us know, and we'll keep moving forward based on your results.
