How to add a contact to an existing group chat?

I've got a group chat that I realized I missed one of the intended group members. How do I add someone, without creating a whole new group???

Hi SPG1212,

The steps that will help you add someone to a group text message can be found in this resource: Add and remove people in group text messages on your iPhone or iPad.

How to add someone to a group text message

1. Tap the group message that you want to add someone to.
2. Tap the group icons at the top of the thread.
3. Tap the gray arrow icon to the right of the contacts, then tap Add Contact .
4. Type the contact that you want to add, then tap Done.

Keep in mind that you can only add someone to a group message if they're using an Apple device. If you want to add someone to a group message but they're using a non-Apple device, you need to create a new group message.

Cheers.
