iPhone hotspot security

Can I change the hotspot security on my iPhone from WPA3 to WPA2? I have an older Microsoft Surface Pro and my wifi adapter doesn't connect to WPA3. I have tried everything on the Microsoft side of things to update the driver and all that with no success, so I want to see if I can change the security settings of my iPhone hotspot back to WPA2.

FWIW, currently most of my wireless devices do not support WPA3. However, even though I enable a Personal Hotspot on my 3rd gen iPhone SE, these same devices do not have any issues connected to it. AFAIK, there is no manual method to switch the wireless security level for the hotspot.

Alternately, the Personal Hotspot can be used with either Bluetooth or via a direct USB connection. Maybe one of these other methods may resolve this issue for you.
