Mail not syncing across my Apple devices

Hello

Mail not synching across devices

I have a similar issue as described by DoreenArchitect. Only mine is not iCloud Mail but from another imap email provider. I received several warnings from them of a full mail box and deleted them all on my iPad Pro 11” but discovered they had not been deleted on the email provider website. I tried changing settings in mailbox behaviour on both iPad and Mac but whst I get on Mac and iPad is different.

all my sent emails for the last two years disappeared although I believe I may have now retrieved some of them but the entire programme on my iPad has become a complete jumble. I have some important docs in my folders to be used as legal evidence which I cannot afford to mess around with and risk losing.

as many companies now insist in sending even sensitive info. vis email this needs to be a highly reliable service with safe storage. I have wasted a considerable amount of time looking for apple and other instructions online and as I have masses of urgent work to carry out I have little further time to waste. My isp was totally unhelpful and the apple helpline, although thorough, is far too slow and wastes a lot of consumers’ time.

Hey Génépy,

We'd be happy to help out. Since you've already mentioned that this matter involves an IMAP email that's non-Apple, this wouldn't have anything to do with storage on Apple's side of things and if you're out of storage, you'd need to take that up with your email service provider or else remove email and attachments in order to create more space in your inbox.

As for syncing though, since the information is stored on the email server and you're referring to an IMAP account, you can safely resolve the matter by removing the account and setting it back up again for use on your device.

For help with doing so, check out these steps:

Remove your email account and set it up again
1. On your computer, sign in to your email provider’s website. Make sure that all of your email is there or make sure that your email is saved somewhere other than your device.
2. On your device, go to Settings > Mail, then tap Accounts.
3. Tap the email account that you want to remove.
4. Tap Delete Account.
5. Add your account again.
If these steps don't work, contact your email service provider for more information.

All this and more is available here: If you can't receive email on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

We hope this information helps out.

Take care!
